Man Kills Brother Over Torchlight

              INSANE
Lagos
A man identified as Remi Adelaja has gone on the run after he allegedly killed his elder brother, Mayowa Adelaja, during a fight. The incident happened on Monday, May 8, 2016 at Adelaja Street, off Afariogun, Oshodi in Lagos.
It was gathered that the immediate cause of the fight was a mere torchlight.
A neighbour, who spoke on condition of anonymity, however said the duo may have had a protracted problem.
The source said that the suspect, a widower, had brought his five children to his father’s house after he lost his wife, a development the deceased was said not to have supported.
The source added that when the deceased asked the suspect about the torchlight, he (the suspect) claimed he had no knowledge of the missing torchlight.
“The issue resulted in a quarrel because the two of them have been having problems.
“The next thing they started fighting. The elder brother used iron rod to hit the younger one twice and the younger one ran inside, brought a knife and stabbed his older brother on the stomach.
“That was how he fell down and died on the spot. Everyone ran only his mother, a bread seller, was left,” the source said.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Dolapo Badmus confirmed the incident.
Badmus, a Superintendent of Police (SP) said the case is under investigations and it would be charged to court as soon as the police completed its investigations.
